Reading for 15 September

Greeting PAInters after our rousing discussion regarding broad vs. narrow foci in ecology last meeting I was interested in digging a little deeper into this (perhaps false) dichotomy.  I found a couple of great recent papers focusing on mutualistic interactions from network to individual behavioral scales, but think we should discuss the more ‘reductionist’ paper: Proc. R. Soc. B-2014-Song-.

I will post some focused discussion questions for Song and Feldman later in the week, but feel free to beat me to the chase!

P.S. If you have an abundance of free time, and are interested in a big picture paper focused on the stability of mutualistic networks, this is worth a look: Science-2014-Rohr-, but perhaps we will limit the discussion on Monday to the preceding paper.
